FULL PRESCRIBING INFORMATION

■ USES: KETOCHLOR^® Shampoo with SPHERULITES ^® Microcapsules is an antiseptic, cleansing shampoo for the management of conditions responsive to ketoconazole or chlorhexidine. The shampoo may be used on dogs, cats and horses.

ANTI-ADHESIVE glycotechnology utilizes a unique combination of monosaccharides and an alkylpolyglucoside that reduces bacterial and yeast adhesion to the stratum corneum. This action physically disrupts micro-organism colonization on the skin surface and may delay onset of irritation due to topical bacteria or yeast.

SPHERULITES Microcapsules: an exclusive encapsulation system that provides a slow release of ingredients long after product application.

Chitosanide: a natural biopolymer that creates a protective film on the skin and hair coat.

■ ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Chlorhexidine gluconate 2.3% w/w (2% in free form; 0.3% encapsulated). Ketoconazole 1% w/w.

■ ALSO CONTAINS: SPHERULITES Microcapsules, monosaccharides and an alkylpolyglucoside.

■ DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Shake well before use. Wet the hair coat with warm water and apply a thin line of shampoo from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Massage shampoo over pet's body to ensure good contact with the skin. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and repeat. May be used initially 2 to 3 times a week for four weeks, then reduce to once a week, or as directed by your veterinarian.

■ CAUTION: Federal law (USA) restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

For animal use only. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Not for otic use. If undue skin irritation develops or increases, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.

■ STORAGE: Store at controlled room temperature 59°- 86° F (15°- 30° C).
