DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: Do not mix IO Teat with any other teat spray, dip or other products.
If transferred from this container to any other, make sure that other container is
thoroughly pre-cleaned and bears the proper container labeling for IO Teat.
DIRECTIONS FOR TEAT SPRAYING
Use a post-milking teat spray on each teat as an aid in a complete cow-care
program to help reduce the spread of organisms which may cause mastitis.
Immediately after milking, use IO Teat at full strength. Spray entire teat with IO Teat
solution. Allow to air dry. Do not wipe. Always use fresh, full strength IO Teat.
Do not turn cows out in freezing weather until IO Teat is completely dry.
Wash entire udder and teats thoroughly just prior to next milking with appropriate
udder wash product solution to avoid contamination of milk. Use proper
procedures for udder washing.
DIRECTIONS FOR TEAT DIPPING
Pre-Milking: Fill teat cup with IO Teat. Do not dilute. Before each cow is milked, dip the
teats as far as possible into the teat dip cup containing IO Teat. Wipe teats dry after dipping,
using single-service towels to avoid contamination of milk.
Udders and teats which are heavily soiled should be washed before using a pre-milking teat
dip. Teats should then be dried with a single-service towel and dipped in IO Teat, wiping the
teats dry before milking.
Post Milking: Immediately after milking, use IO Teat at full strength. Submerge entire teat in
IO Teat solution. Allow to air dry. Do not wipe. Always use fresh, full strength IO Teat. If
product in dip cup becomes visibly dirty, discard contents and replenish with undiluted
product. Do not reuse or return unused product to the original container. Do not turn cows
out in freezing weather until IO Teat is completely dry.
Use proper procedures for udder washing or pre-milking teat dipping just prior to next
milking to avoid contamination of milk.
IO Teat is not intended to cure or help the healing of chapped or irritated teats. In
case of teat irritation or chapping, have the condition examined and, if necessary, treated by
